Debit Cards

The MasterMoneyTM debit card from American Bank of Commerce is a convenient way to make day-to-day purchases without the hassle of writing a check or carrying cash.

You can use the MasterMoneyTM debit card at any merchants displaying the MasterCard® logo. You can also use your card at ATM machines for quick cash on the go. Card purchases will appear on your monthly checking account statement. The amount, date, and place where you use the card will appear on your statement, along with the checks you write and your ATM transactions. You can keep better track of your total spending with all transactions on one statement.

When shopping with your MasterMoneyTM card, funds are deducted from your available balance immediately. Please realize you are spending money you have deposited, rather than money you are borrowing. You need to ensure that you have sufficient funds available in your checking account. If you do not have sufficient funds available, you can expect to pay the applicable fees and charges. Insufficient funds may also result in your card transaction being declined.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Bank is reissuing your card due to a change from a 6-digit to an 8-digit Bank Identification Number (BIN). This change is being implemented by major card networks like Visa and Mastercard to address the shortage of unique BINs.

The 8-digit BIN structure allows for more unique combinations, which helps accommodate new issuers and products. As a result, the bank needs to issue new cards with the updated BIN to ensure continued compatibility and security within the payment system.

The change to an 8-digit BIN will affect your existing card details in the following ways:

  1. New Card Number: Your new card will have a different number due to the updated BIN.
  2. Expiration Date and CVV: These will also change, so you’ll need to update any saved payment information.
  3. Automatic or Recurring Payments: You’ll need to update your card details for any subscriptions or services that use automatic payments.
  4. Security: The new card will continue to provide the same level of security, if not better, due to the updated system.
Once you ACTIVATE and PIN your NEW Card using the number from the sticker located on the front of the new card at 800.290.7893. You’ll have 3 weeks to make the updates before your OLD card will be close.
